To assess how effective maintenance management is, we look at 4 functional areas.

1 - Productivity - is the workers time productive?
Productivity is the percentage of time spent on productive activities (tool time).

2 - Performance - is the workers time spent efficiently?
Performance is the actual hours used to perform a task compared with planned hours.

3 - Quality - how well was the work done?
Complaints, jobs requiring to be redone, general perceptions of the customer are indicators of the quality of work.

4 - Priority - are the most important jobs being done first?
