Supply Cataloguing is defined as the organised collection, storage and presentation of items of supply information.
Information includes elements such as numbering, naming, describing, classifying, coding and the recording of manufacturers part number information
along with other cross reference information.
This ensures duplicate items are not maintained as separate items of inventory.
Identifying repetitive non stock purchases and brings these items into stock.
Identifying spare parts which are unique to equipment that is scheduled for disposal and ensures that related parts
can also be disposed of with the parent equipment.
